2 Kings 15-16
Still more kings starting to reign, either doing what was evil or right in the eyes of the Lord, still no one tearing down the high places, and then they die and someone else takes over.
Acts 19:13-41
Hearts are being changed. People who practiced magic came together to burn their books. The total worth of all the books was about 50,000 pieces of silver. In Ephesus, there was a riot over Paul who was telling people that they should not worship other gods. The Ephesians believed in the goddess Artemis, so this upset them a lot. They basically caused a riot and gathered in a theater with much confusion. They chanted for two hours, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!" Finally, the town clerk calmed the crowd down and they dispersed from the theater. It's kind of a scary thing to think about!
Psalm 147
"His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man, but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love."
Proverbs 18:4-5
"the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook."
