It's Engage Sunday!  That means instead of going to church, the church is going out to serve in the community.  I love it!!!!  We do this once a year and it is such a testament to the ways God works and moves when we are faithful.  Our group will be painting some apartments in south Dallas that are getting ready to be used as a type of transition house for people coming out of prison.  Praise God for all the work that will be done in His name today.  Make yourself famous, Lord!

2 Kings 10:32-12:21

New king today- Jehu died, and his mother started killing all of his house so she could reign.  But one baby boy was hidden and six years later was anointed by one of the priests.  Jehu's mother was put to death and the new king was seven years old.  (Joash)  Joash was instructed by the priest and he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, with the exception of not tearing down the high places.  Eventually, some of his people conspired against him and killed him, and his son began to reign.

Speaks about the greatness of the Lord.  Read it!!
