Day 200!

It was actually day 200 a couple of days ago, but since I didn't get to blog on that day, I am celebrating today!  It really is hard to believe that I have been at this for 200 days.  Praise the Lord for His steadfast love and for giving me the desire and perseverance to continue in this process.  I am learning so much.  I love to be in the Word.  I am overwhelmed when I think about how much of the world I have already prayed for, yet how much more there is left.  I'm glad finances are part of this year long process, and I am still learning how best to live radically in this area.  I haven't spent much time in a different context this year, but am still very much affected by my time in Romania last summer.  And Tim is currently on his way to India, which will be great to hear about in a couple of weeks.  I am still committed to my community of believers, though some of my roles are changing.  It has been a challenge to embrace some of the changes that will be coming with marriage, especially where church ministry is concerned.  Looking back, it is exciting to see what the Lord has been working in my life.  And the most exciting part?  It's not over yet!!

France-
Largest nation in western Europe.  Very good economy and stable government.  There is freedom of religion, but the state is very secular.  Some of the issues are a dormant faith, the unreached French populations and minority groups, youth ministry, and the integration of immigrants into the country.

2 Chronicles 6:12-8:10
Solomon has finished building the temple, so he blesses the people and then has a prayer of dedication for the temple.  He asks God to always listen to those who choose to pray to the Lord in that house.  The Lord's response is, "if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and ray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and hear their land."  I had heard this verse many times before, but never knew it was in response to Solomon's prayer.

I assure you that I did read the rest of the scriptures for today, but have run out of time in my day to write about them.  I am so ready for summer and some extra time to spend with the Lord!!!
