God has been proving Himself over and over as my Provider lately. He truly has provided everything that Tim and I need, and yesterday He came through again. We have an apartment! The timing is perfect because Tim will be able to move in before he goes to India and then will be ready to start work when he gets back. Praise the Lord for He is good!! In other news, I am officially half way through my year of reading the Bible. In the daily reading calendar I have made it to July, and I have been through Psalms once and get to start through it again today. I love that this plan has me go through the Psalms twice!
2 Kings 22:3-23:30
Josiah is a good king. He finds the book that contains all the words of God and he makes Judah live by them. He repairs the temple, he tears down all the high places and gets rid of every idol. (He actually got a little overzealous in this and made some unpleasing sacrifices on the alter of the Lord.) He also restored the passover, but God still was not turned from His wrath because of the generations before. He still said that he would remove Judah- that they would be carried off like Israel and Jerusalem would be cast off.
Acts 21:37-22:16
Paul was arrested yesterday, and as he was being taken away today, he asked to speak to the people. He spoke to them in their language and told them his testimony... the story of his conversion.
Psalm 1
When we delight in the law of the Lord, we will be like a tree that is near water- fruitful and prosperous.
Proverbs 18:11-12
A rich man just imagines that he is safe.
Humility leads to honor.
Czech Republic-
Has one of the most developed economies in Central Europe. Communism was driven out in a bloodless revolution in '89. New found freedom has led to low morals. Problems with crime, sexual immorality, substance abuse and depression are high, as well as the percentage of Atheists. There are great leadership training opportunities in Prague, which is an answered prayer.
