Spread the Word

Cote d'Ivoire-
African country with both rain forest and savannah.  Many people groups with an economy dependent on agriculture.  Millions of immigrants have come into the country looking for work, which has caused many problems.  There have been a couple of coups in recent years, and a military take over of the government that lead to the killing of many people.  The country needs to elect a leader.  There has been a peace agreement reached.  The country basically divides along a north/south line with Muslims in the north and mostly Christians in the south.  The Christians in the country still have strong ties to animism.  Pray for these ties to be broken.

2 Kings 13-14
Lots of names- new kings, sons of old kings, and how they did evil in the eyes of the Lord.  There was only one king in all of the many today who did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, but he still didn't tear down the high places.  Oh, yes, and Elisha died today.  There was another man who died and the gravediggers were in a hurry, so they threw the body into the same grave with Elisha, and as soon as he touched the bones of Elisha, he got up and walked again.  Crazy!

Acts 18:23-19:12
More preaching and more people learning about Jesus' sacrifice.  It is so cool to read about these people who were so bold in their faith.  All they did was travel and tell others the gospel.  I want my words to point people to Christ!

Psalm 146
A psalm of praise and recognizing all the good things the Lord does.

Proverbs 18:2-3
Foolishness and wickedness do not have good outcomes.

Engage Sunday was amazing!  Two hours of solid labor with 45 people meant great progress on a really big painting job.  Praise the Lord!
