There were a lot of C countries in Operation World, but I have made it to the D's. :) Today's country is...
Denmark-
They have a stable economy and political scene. Their average income per person is a higher percentage than the U.S. The state recognized the Lutheran church and 80% of the population are members, but 50% claim to be agnostic or atheist. Pray for revival in the Church, for a mission minded congregation, and for those who are seeking spirituality to find Truth. Immigration is also an important issue.
2 Kings 23:31-25:30
After Josiah died, his son was anointed king, but he did evil in the eyes of the Lord. So did the next few kings, and finally Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came and took Judah captive. So, the end of the books of Kings finishes with both Israel and Judah having been taken captive by different nations.
Acts 22:17-23:10
Paul is finishing his testimony to the people, but eventually they get tired of listening and begin to demand his life again. The tribune decided the best thing to do would be to flog Paul and get answers that way, but once they had him tied up he told them he was a Roman citizen and they were afraid and backed off. They next day they brought him before the council to defend himself. He spoke some, but basically turned the Pharisees and Sadducees against each other until they became violent and Paul was taken to the barracks for safety.
Psalm 2
This is basically a warning for anyone who would go against the Lord's anointed. "He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord hold them in derision."
Proverbs 18:13
"If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame."
I love Sundays! Can't wait to be in the house of the Lord!
