Children of Light

Ephesians 5
Paul is giving great advice on Christian living.  He tells us to imitate God and walk in love.  We should not participate in sexual immorality, but live our lives in the light.  When we walk in the light, we are able to bear fruit.  We are to be wise and make use of the time we are given, praising God and submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.  That's right... we are all supposed to submit to one another, not just wives to husbands.  Paul does go on, though, to specifically talk to wives and husband about their relationships.  They are to be a model of Christ and the Church.  Wives are to submit to their husbands, just as Jesus is the head of the Church.  Husband are to love their wives in the same way Christ loves the Church and gave Himself up for her.

Proverbs 24:7
"Wisdom is too high for a fool; in the gate he does not open his mouth."

Psalm 69:19-36
David is asking for very specific actions from the Lord toward his enemies.  He goes on to say that he will praise God for all His works.  He is confident that the Lord will act on his behalf and knows the appropriate response is nothing but praise.

Isaiah 51-53
God is speaking through Isaiah many words of encouragement.  He will restore the people and get rid of their enemies.  Then God starts talking about His servant who will come and be despised and rejected to bear the iniquities (sins) of the people.  Any guesses who that might be?!

Kenya-
There are 108 people groups in this country, speaking 74 different languages.  Most of the economy is dependent on agriculture, and is known for being very corrupt.  A coalition government was formed due to conflict, but it is still a challenge to have the two major opponents work together.  There is freedom of religion and the country is majority Christian.  They are a light to the countries around them and have great missions vision.
