Isaiah 45:11-50:11
These chapters contain several different things. The greatness of God is talked about. His destroying of idols is mentioned. The fact that things will not go well for Babylon is made clear. And the Lord makes it clear that He will restore Israel and bring salvation to those who choose righteousness. God still sees their sin, but recognizes their obedience.
Psalm 69: 1-18
David has been experiencing trials that make him feel like his life is threatened... like things might not get better. He is asking God to save him. To extend His steadfast love and mercy, but at His appointed time. David is trusting that God will rescue him when the time is right. I think I could use some of that patience!
Proverbs 24:3-6
Wisdom, understanding, knowledge, wise guidance, and abundance of counselors lead to establishment, pleasant riches, strength, might, and victory. I think the first list is well worth seeking. And we know that these are all characteristics of God. He provides all!
Ephesians 4
This chapter is about unity in the Body. We have all been called to one hope, but each has a different talent/function for building up the body. The idea is that all these parts are able to work together in love and that the result is growth of the Body. Paul is reminding the Ephesians that now that they belong to Christ they must put off the old things and put on the new self so that they are like God. He gives them specific things that they should do.
Kazakhstan-
Diverse population with an economy that is undergoing a boom. Natural resources have made this one of the world's fastest growing economies. Pray that the wealth would be distributed to all citizens. Most in the country are Muslim, with much Muslim evangelization going on. Christians are restricted and sometimes persecuted. Pray for media ministries such as literature distribution and the use of radio, to reach many in the country.
