Japan-
More and more people are searching for truth as they face an uncertain future, which can lead them to Christ. Ministry in the country has begun to be more culturally relevant, and therefore, more effective. Some of the crises that Japan are facing include no moral compass, suicide epidemic, unstable government leaders, an aging population, and increasing crime rates. The Church is really not experiencing much growth and has little effect on society. Many cities, towns, and villages have no church at all. Media has great outreach effect with the country being so technologically advanced.
Ephesians 6
Paul closes out the book by reminding the believers to test their own works and not worry about what other people do, so that they may boast in what God has done for them alone. He also tells them to share what they have learned so that in due season they may reap a harvest. He tells them again in the end that is does not matter whether they are circumcised or not, and they should not listen and follow people who are so concerned about it.
Proverbs 23:24
"The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him." Do you identify with the parent or child in this verse... or both?!
Psalm 65
"Praise is due to you..." This is how the psalm starts and then David goes on to list some of the works of God and how He shows Himself and provides for us.
Isaiah 37-38
Hezekiah is the king of Judah right now and is being attacked by the king of Assyria. He prays to the Lord for deliverance, and God answers through Isaiah. He tells Hezekiah that the Assyrians will not be victorious and then when he grows sick, that his time on earth will be extended. He got well after Isaiah instructed his care takers to put a cake of figs on his ailment.
