Ezekiel 44-45:12
God is giving Ezekiel all the measurements for the new temple.  He sees a vision and basically walks around with an angel who measures everything so Ezekiel can write it down.  Then the glory of the Lord fills the temple.  It appears again like it did in the beginning of the book and later on during another vision.  You know, the creatures with four heads and fiery bodies.

1 Peter 1:1-12
Peter is writing to specific exiles.  He begins with rejoicing because of the salvation that they have been offered.  "an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading."
